The vegetative stage of your plants is when your plants have started to grow, and are becoming tall and strong. During this time, they require a different mixture of nutrients when compared to the flowering stage. Understanding the different stages of your plants is important in all growing rooms, as giving them too much of a certain nutrient that they don't need can force a change of stages in your plants which can be bad for the entire crop of your growing room.
There are two different types of hydroponics boosters that can be used to enhance the growth of the plants at different stages. The first type is the plant boosters that are used during the blooming stage to produce fuller blooms and larger fruits or vegetables.
The other one is the vegetative boosters which are used only during the early stages of growth to help the plants grow sturdier stems and broader leaves which help the plant process its food through photosynthesis. The sturdier stems also help the plant support the fuller blooms or larger fruits and vegetables that develop at the later growth stage.
Roots of the plants absorb the hydroponics fertilizers along with the nutrient rich water solution in much the same manner as plants that are growing in soil. However, since there is no soil involved in hydroponic gardening, the root fertilizers are added directly to the nutrient solution at the time when each plant boost is needed.
