IPM Spidermite Predator - Phytoseiulus Persimillis
Phytoseiulus persimilis is a predatory mite which primarily targets Two Spotted Spider Mite (more commonly known as Red Spider Mite or Tetranychus).
It has been used to help control Red Spider Mite in professionally-grown crops for more than 45 years.
Spider Mite thrive in warm, low to medium humidity and have a short reproductive cycle. Egg to adult takes about 14 days at 21, or less than a week at 30. Eggs are laid on the underside of leaves.
Phytoseiulus persimilis is an aggressive predator who actively hunts and attacks all stages of mites. Adult spider mites will turn from brown to black and can be identified as tiny black dots on the leaves.
Phytoseiulus persimilis is best used to control an already established spider mite population.
Turn and shake bottle before application, sprinkle the material on leaves equally between your plants. Target the lower shaded leaves as the humidity is higher.
