Green Spirit Local - Our Local Home Delivery Service

 

Throughout the COVID19 outbreak and the subsequent national and local lockdowns, our priority at Green Spirit has always been the safety of our customers and staff. Earlier this year we introduced our Order and Collect service to help with safe shopping, offering the option to text or call in your order ahead of time for a quick collection, ensuring minimum contact time in-store. This service remains available. 

Unfortunately, for many people, it’s still not safe or possible to visit stores in person, even with social distancing measures and additional safety procedures in place. With this in mind, we’d now like to introduce our improved, socially distant, Local Home Delivery Service - Green Spirit Local. Unlike our standard web order delivery (which will continue to operate as normal via our website) Green Spirit Local will offer our loyal customers the same discounts they’ve come to expect in-store, via distance ordering. 


Why Choose Green Spirit Local?


Place Orders at Your Convenience - Orders can be placed via phone, text, or email, ideal for those who may be shielding or vulnerable and unable to visit our stores.

Pay Your Usual Account Prices - State your Green Spirit account name with your order, and the prices you receive in store will be honored on your home delivery order. 

Flexible Payment Methods - Pay via Bank Transfer, PayPal, or cash on delivery (up to a maximum of £500). Please note, all delivery charges must be paid electronically ahead of delivery. 

Receive Your Goods When and Where You Choose - Same Day, Next Day and Named Day delivery options are available.

Accommodating Delivery Times - Deliveries are made between 10.30am - 6pm. When placing your order, please advise our sales team when you’d prefer to receive your order and they will endeavor to facilitate this where possible. 

Discreet Delivery - Our vans are unmarked, and packages will be delivered in either plain black bags, or cardboard boxes for discretion. 

Minimal Contact - Green Spirit drivers use the appropriate PPE at all times and deliveries are socially distanced for your safety and comfort. 

 

Delivery Charges 


  • Our competitive Delivery Charges are calculated on a sliding scale by distance, and are fixed regardless of your order size.
  • Please note, delivery radius will be calculated from our Sheffield store at 230 Woodbourn Road.

  • Orders over a 15 mile radius will be handled on an individual basis, please call the office on 0114 275 3353 and we will be happy to help where possible. 

Local Same Day Home Delivery

Many orders can be delivered on a Same Day basis. We endeavor to dispatch orders within four hours of payment, provided that: the order is placed and paid for before 2pm, Delivery Charges are paid, all requested items are in stock, and the order is below 1.5 tonnes in weight.

6-15 Mile Radius - £30 

Local Next Day or Named Day Home Delivery

To qualify for Next Day Delivery, orders must be placed and paid for by 3pm. When placing an order for Named Day Delivery, please ensure your chosen day is clearly communicated in your order and we can schedule this for you.

How To Order



For your convenience, orders can be placed over the phone, via text, or by email. However you prefer to place your order, please make sure that you have a full and complete list of products you’d like to purchase when you get in touch. This will help keep errors to a minimum, and enable our warehouse team to pick and package your goods as quickly and efficiently as possible. 

Order By Phone 

  1. Call the Green Spirit Sheffield landline on 0114 2753353 to be put through to a member of our sales team who will take your preferred contact number, your delivery address, and your chosen delivery time. 
  2. State your Green Spirit Account Name (the one you use in store to access your usual prices). A quote will be created for you and you will receive a final quotation price and your quotation number. 
  3. Your order will be picked and packaged by our warehouse team, at which point any out of stock products will be flagged up and relayed to our sales team.
  4. Once your order is ready for delivery, we’ll contact you to confirm your delivery date and location, and resolve any stock issues that may have arisen - our staff know our products inside out, and will be able to suggest appropriate replacements where necessary. 
  5. Payment will then be taken for your Delivery Charges either by Card, PayPal, or Bank Transfer. This is non-refundable. Payment for your order should also be made at this point, unless you are paying for your goods by Cash on Delivery (available for orders of £500 or less).
  6. A copy of your itemised invoice will be placed with your order, ready for your arranged delivery. 

Order By Text

  1. Send a text message to our sales team on 07394930143. Your message should include: your preferred contact number (if different from the number you are using), your delivery address, your chosen delivery time, an exact list of every product you wish to order (you may wish to use our website www.greenspirit-hydroponics.com for reference) and your Green Spirit Account Name (the one you use in store to access your usual prices).
  2. A quote will be created for you and you will receive a final quotation price and your quotation number by reply.
  3. Your order will be picked and packaged by our warehouse team, at which point any out of stock products will be flagged up and relayed to our sales team.

  2. In your email, it is important that you include: your preferred contact number, your delivery address, your chosen delivery date and time, your Green Spirit Account Name (the one you use in-store to access your usual prices) and an exact list of every product you wish to order. 
  3. You may wish to use our website www.greenspirit-hydroponics.com to build your order, and then include a screenshot of your basket (prior to payment) in your email as a quick and accurate order reference for our sales team. This is optional, but can help to minimise errors and ensure clarity. 
  4. A quote will be created for you and you will receive a final quotation price and your quotation number by reply. 
  5. Your order will be picked and packaged by our warehouse team, at which point any out of stock products will be flagged up and relayed to our sales team. 
  6. Once your order is ready for delivery, we’ll contact you to confirm your delivery date and location, and resolve any stock issues that may have arisen - our staff know our products inside out, and will be able to suggest appropriate replacements where necessary.

Terms and Conditions 



Please take a moment to thoroughly read through our terms of service to ensure you’re happy before you proceed with an order. 

Delivery Charges Must Be Paid In Advance - We accept Card, PayPal and Bank Transfer. We must receive your funds before we will pack and deliver your order. This is to ensure that the agreed-upon date and time of your order is confirmed, and our drivers are only making necessary, legitimate trips. 

The Delivery Process - Once your driver arrives at your chosen delivery address, they will knock on the door and wait for a maximum of five minutes for someone to answer the door and accept delivery. After five minutes, they will need to move on to their next delivery to keep to their schedule. If nobody answers within your driver’s five minute window, and they are required to return to attempt delivery a second time, the delivery charge will need to be paid again.  

Payment Details - 

Please ensure that your quotation number is used as your reference so we are able to reconcile your payment. Unlabeled payments or incorrect references may cause delays in delivery.

Minimum Order Price of £50 - Only orders with a final quotation price of £50 or above will qualify for our Home Delivery Service. If your order total is below £50, Home Delivery will still be offered, however the order will be charged at a flat rate of £50 (plus Delivery Charges). 

Payment by Cash on Delivery -

  • In the interest of driver safety, we are happy to accept payment by cash on delivery for all orders up to £500 only. Any orders above this limit must be paid for in full in advance either by Card, PayPal or Bank Transfer.Please note, our drivers do not carry change. Please ensure you have the exact cash to pay for your order. Customers paying by Cash on Delivery must still pay all delivery charges in advance electronically.
  • Your driver will knock on your door, leave an empty cash bag on your step, and retreat to a safe distance. You must then place the correct amount of cash into the bag and place it back on your step for the driver to collect and count. Once your driver is happy that the full amount is there, they will begin unloading and delivering your order. 

Delivery of Substrates - Unless instructed otherwise, all substrates will be bagged. Each bag will incur a surcharge of 25p to cover the additional time required for drivers to safely unload your order upon delivery. If you would prefer your substrate boxed, there will be a charge of £2.50 per box (each box containing 2 bags of substrate). A maximum quantity of 1 pallet (60 bags) of substrate is in place for all Local Home Delivery orders. 

Delivery of Nutrients - To prevent spillages and waste in transit, all nutrients will be delivered boxed. There will be a charge of £1.50 per box. 

Maintaining Social Distancing - In order to keep both our customers and our drivers safe, once access has been given, please do not attempt to help your driver with unloading your order. An appropriate face covering must be worn while our driver is on the premises. At your request, our drivers are happy to place your goods in a safe well-ventilated outdoor space such as a garage or shed on your property, but will otherwise only deliver to your doorstep, and will not bring your order into your home.
