Water pumps are the the starting point for setting up an automated system to water your plants with. They provide the water power to pump through the tubes onto your plants, and are critical in a hydroponic system. You can attach the water pumps to a timer system that we also provide, and you can set it up so that three times a day, your system waters your plants for 5 minutes and pumps out 100ml per plant. It is the best way to create a hydroponic system.
Hydroponic gardening involves supplying nutrients to the plants through a water solution instead of through soil. Depending on the type of hydroponic set-up that is used, plant water pumps might need to be installed. Sometimes water pumps for hydroponics are used to take the nutrient rich solution from a low reservoir container to the top of the sloped hydroponic garden so that it can flow down across the roots of the plants, into a drain system and back into the reservoir.
Other uses for a hydroponic pump include bringing the nutrient solution to an overhead mist system or even just pumping oxygen into stationary water in a small, single container hydroponic garden. When a hydroponic garden depends on a pump to supply the nutrient rich solution to the plants it is important that there is a reliable power source to run the pump in case there is an outage for the main power source.
