Although plants are less susceptible to diseases when they are grown in hydroponic gardens, as compared to plants grown in soil gardens, it is still important for gardeners to have some knowledge of plant disease control. Several common diseases for hydroponic plants are caused by adverse growing conditions.

Easily managed disease causing situations include improper lighting, too many plants in the area, or a humidity level that is too high. Aside from changing the disease causing conditions, it is important to follow up with basic plant disease care in order to improve the health of the affected plants.

Keep in mind, that there may be incidences when the diseases have progressed too far and the plants cannot recover. Knowing the types of plant diseases that can occur in hydroponic gardens and having the plant disease supplies readily available to combat the diseases will improve the chances of the plants reaching maturity.
