Root Zone Additives

Having the right type and amount of nutrients for plants is important in every form of gardening, including hydroponic gardening. In hydroponic gardens, the grow nutrients are absorbed through the roots of the plants, just as they are in soil gardens, but the roots do not have to burrow through the soil to reach the nutrients. The hydroponics nutrients are mixed with water and the roots are exposed to the solution in one of several different ways depending on the hydroponic supplies that are used to set up the garden. 

Sometimes the roots are immersed in the solution for certain periods of time and sometimes they are merely misted with the solution containing the growing medium and nutrients. Some high quality commercial products with the proper mix of hydroponic nutrients are VitaLink nutrients and BiobizzBloom. The first one can be used at any stage of plant growth while the latter one is meant to be used mainly during the flowering stage.
