MountainAir Carbon Filters use only the highest quality carbon in their products to provide you with a huge surface area capable of extracting unpleasant grow room odours for up to three years. In fact the surface area of the carbon in a MountainAir 0640 filter is greater than the surface area of 3,000 football fields!
MountainAir carbon is derived from sub-bituminous coal which was deposited (most likely by low angle fault thrusting) in the Collie Basin in Western Australia over 230 million years ago. Sub-bituminous coal is preferable for carbon filters because of the moisture it retains, the moisture by weight of sub-bituminous coal is usually between 15 - 30% and this inherent moisture prevents the coal from turning to ash. Thanks to this moisture MountainAir carbon has an extremely low ash and sulphur content making it perfect for absorbing volatile organic compounds (VOCs). MountainAir Carbon Filters are able to remove most VOCs of less than 30 microns which includes most odours, pollens, odour-bearing smoke particles and alcohol compounds.
Please note: MountainAir filters are not suitable for use with radial fans.

Please note also: If you have purchased a carbon filter we cannot accept returns on carbon products that have been opened or used, this is due to the carbon within the filters, because when activated the carbon begins to degrade and the filters are more susceptible to damage, be It in your grow room or in transit.
