Halo

Halo is the first product of an entirely new class of crop production
technology.
Halo offers growers a highly effective and environmentally
sound tool to improve yields and regulate plant health. Halo is
a naturally occurring protein that activates a plant’s natural
defence systems.
A message or signal is sent throughout the plant, initiating a
sequence of physiological and biochemical reactions that
activate plant growth and stress-defence pathways. These
biochemical pathways lead to increased levels of the defence
orientated secondary metabolites, improved cell wall formation
and stimulates ‘hardening’ of the plants tissues.
Halo has a indirect effect on many genes within the plant
delivering cell wall expansion, cell elongation, increased Sugar
transport genes, Increased reproduction genes which deliver
flower initiation resulting in increased flower sets and size.
The result is a healthier, more productive crop.

Halo has been extensively trialed throughout the world and
will provide the following benefits
• Activates growth mechanisms that result in improved plant
vigour, increased plant stamina and an improved stress-defence
response.
• Activates cell wall expansion, cell elongation, protein and
sugar transport and promotes flower initiation, fruit set & size
and a increase in aromatic oil production
• Increases photosynthesis by up to 20% and nutrient uptake in
plants. These ultimately express value to growers by increasing
yield and fruit quality.
• Activates defence mechanisms increasing the plant’s ability to
defend itself against certain viral, bacterial and fungal plant
diseases.
• Pre-harvest applications reduce the incidence of botrytis (bud
rot) and extends shelf-life.
Application Rates
Foliar applications: Mix dry, soluble Halo in water at a dilution
rate of 10ml per litre of tap water. A 100g tub will provide 10L
of foliar spray.
Apply 2-4 times throughout the growth cycle. Treatments are
recommended around critical crop physiological growth stages
such as exponential vegetative growth, flower induction,
flower enlargement and pre harvest.
