The pure act of replacing the sun and nutrients that are required when practicing hydroponics, requires some sort of grow system. Differing to a grow kit, this revolves around the basics to circulate and populate the required elements. Green Spirit grow systems are super value, some are cheap, but all are quality. After purchasing a grow system you'll need plenty of growing media, aka growing soil.

The NFT grow system is one of the oldest and is the commonly thought of hydroponic growing system. They are designed so that the roots have a constant flow of nutrient solution and water, but in a small amount. The nutrient solution is pumped into the growing tray, in a thin flow to control the amount of water given to the plants, and the roots of the plants gently touch the water and are constantly submerged. The water then drains off the growing tray, and into the tank where it is aerated again and pumped back up. As there is no growing medium other than air, this can be a very cheap hydroponic growing system.

Growing systems are part art, part science as far as Green Spirit is concerned. That's why we respect your choice to make your own design of growing system without restricting you to specific kits. We offer a large collection of different parts for hydroponic growing systems and they are all important regardless if you are working with hydroponics for growing plants using a system, or simply watering the plants by hand when necessary. The DIY section of light growing kits can also be useful to buy one or two specific parts for something that needs replacing.
